Above the Clouds

Day 1

Delhi Arrival

Arrive in Delhi. A driver will meet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel. Check in to your room after 3:00 p.m. and enjoy some free time exploring your surroundings, or simply rest and prepare for your tour on Day 2.

Day 2

Delhi City Tour

After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel to begin your tour of Delhi, home to India's national government. Visit Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, drive by Red Fort, visit Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Khari Baoli, 

Raj Ghat, India Gate, drive by Parliament and President's house. At the end of the tour your driver will drop you off at your hotel to rest and prepare for the third day of your tour.

Day 3

Delhi - Agra

After breakfast your driver will take you to Agra. Upon arrival at Agra, check in at your hotel. Later, visit the gardens of Mehtab Bagh and see Itimad Ud Daulah, also known as "Baby Taj" or "Jewel Box." Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 4

Agra - Jaipur

Get up before sunrise and head to the world-renowned Taj Mahal to watch the sun come up over this majestic monument. The Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his Queen Mumtaz Mahal. You will spend two hours taking in what has been considered one of the 7 Wonders of the World. After, return to your hotel for breakfast. Then, check out from your hotel and start the 5-hour drive to Jaipur. Arrive in Jaipur and check in to your hotel.

Day 5

Jaipur City Tour

After breakfast, your guide leads you to the Amber Fort, the capital of the state until 1728. Head up the hill to the fort's entrance and then follow your guide on a tour of the complex. After that, head back down the hill in a vehicle with your guide for a tour of Jaipur, the "Pink City." Spend 15 minutes at the Jal Mahal, a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. Later, explore the Maharaja’s City Palace, a complex that includes the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces. Then, head to Jantar Mantar, a collection of 19 architectural astronomical instruments built by the Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh. After that, drive past the beautiful Hawa Mahal, a large structure built so the women of the royal household could observe streets outside while remaining hidden. Later take a cooking class (optional), and at the end of the day return to your hotel. 

Day 6

Jaipur - Ajmer or Pushkar - Jodhpur

After breakfast your driver will take you to Ajmer or Pushkar (to be determined) to take a brief tour of the local attractions in the area and give you a chance to stretch your legs and rest. Then continue onward to Jodhpur and check in to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day resting or exploring your surroundings as you please.

Day 7

Jodhpur - Udaipur

After breakfast explore the "Blue City" of India, Jodhpur, with a visit to the former palace known as Mehrangarh Fort, the ancient step well Toorji Ka Jhalra and Jaswant Thada, known by locals of Jodhpur as their "Mini Taj." Then proceed to Udaipur. Upon arrival at Udaipur, check in for your overnight stay at the hotel and enjoy your evening at your leisure.

Day 8

Udaipur City Tour

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you in exploring the City Palace. It is a splendid palace which was built over a period of 400 years by different Mewar kings. Amar Vilas is the highest point of this palace. The palace has many gardens with fountains, towers, and terraces. This palace was built in the ostentatious style and is considered to be the largest palace of its kind in Rajasthan. It was built on a hilltop with a fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The entire city of Udaipur can be seen from the top of this palace. It has 

numerous palaces built within this palace. Then visit the Jagdish temple, the gardens and fountains disigned for a princess at Sahelion ki Bari, Fatehsagar Lake and Bhagore ki Haveli. Your guide will enlighten you with the facts of all these places. After this, return to hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 9

Udaipur - Delhi

After breakfast you will be dropped off at Udaipur airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel to check in. Enjoy the rest of your day at your leisure, perhaps shopping for last-minute souvenirs, trying more delicious food, or snapping some final pictures of your surroundings. Wrap up the evening full of memories for your final night at your hotel. 

Day 10

Delhi Departure

Check out of hotel by 11:00 a.m. Your driver will drop you off at Delhi airport for your onward destination. Enjoy your trip and please remember to share your pictures with Lucas Tour Source!
